About WÆSTM

What is a zine?

A small, independently made magazine. Zines have a long history in activist and DIY communities, including fat activism. WÆSTM is a project from ReGrowth, our parent endeavour.

Do I need to be fat to read it?

No. WÆSTM is made by and for the fat community, and allies are welcome. We just won’t spend our pages convincing anyone fatphobia is real.

How is WÆSTM funded?

Both founders provided seed money to publish and print WÆSTM. Through sales, solidarity copies and support from ReGrowth Learning, future projects will be funded. Every figure is on Our Finances page.
