A space built for fat people

How we talk about bodies, how we flag difficult content and what to do if something we publish doesn’t sit right with you.

Language we use

  • “Fat” as a neutral, descriptive word, and a reclaimed one.
  • The words people choose for themselves, including identity-first or person-first language.
  • Specific, honest descriptions of systems: fatphobia, weight stigma, anti-fatness.

What we leave out

  • Diet talk, weight-loss stories and “before and after”.
  • Weights, sizes or BMI used as measures of worth or health.
  • Debating whether fat people deserve dignity.
RAISING A CONCERN
If something we published concerns you
  1. Tell us

Email waestm@regrowthlearning.com or use the contact form. Anonymous is fine.

  2. We listen

An editor replies within 5 working days.

  3. We act

That might mean adding a note, correcting a piece or taking it down. We’ll tell you what we did.
